Latest Updates from Our Project:

December Production Update
4 months ago – Sat, Dec 16, 2023 at 11:54:11 PM

Hey guys! Happy holidays! (I hope our Jewish friends had a great Hanukkah.)

I apologize that you haven't heard from us in a while - particularly when we said we'd lock addresses last month. The biggest reason I didn't check in was that I had to apply myself almost exclusively to another project to finish it, which happened this last week. So here we are. =)  But what about finalizing those addresses? We'll get into that in the next section.

Production Update

The game's production is going smoothly but has proceeded slower than we initially expected. The miniatures for Madness Reborn and all the reprint materials have finished. However, a few products and components are still left to finish up. Here are some new pictures from the factory:

Some freshly printed epic monster boxes.
Here are the boxes being cut.
Here's another cool angle.
The cut boxes.
Some uncut sheets of monster cards.
Some uncut investigator and monster card sheets.
And some uncut wee cards!
Boxes and boxes of Madness Reborn minis.
A peek at the minis inside one of those stacks.
A pile of uncut Madness Reborn box wraps.
Uncut Madness Reborn cards.
A bunch of punchboards.

We should have more info to share from the factory before too long, which we'll pass along once we have it. This brings us once again to the matter of locking addresses.

There's no reason to lock the addresses until the factory finishes producing everything since we can't ship until that happens and I'm sure some people will need to update their addresses in the meantime. So, as soon as they have done that, we will send out the notification. Hopefully, this will be before the month's end, but it could slip into January, depending on how quickly production wraps up. (The factory's been really busy recently.)

Emails

I'm sure several of you have been waiting to hear back from me. As mentioned earlier, I had to focus pretty much exclusively on another project to finish it, but now that I've done that, I will be diving back into emails to get you taken care of. If you're waiting for my reply, first, be sure you emailed [email protected], as other sources may be missed or take much longer. Next, you can send me a new email to bump up to the top of my inbox, or hold on, and I'll get to you. Thanks for your patience. I appreciate it.

Okay, that's it for this update! We'll be in touch again when we have new info to share or are ready to lock addresses. (Or both at once.) Have a great rest of December and Merry Christmas!

Happy Halloween! Here are Some Rulebooks!
6 months ago – Tue, Oct 31, 2023 at 05:12:32 PM

Hey guys! Happy Halloween! I hope you had a fantastic October and got to watch a bunch of horror movies.

We have a pretty short and sweet update for you today. First, the production news:

Production Update

We have submitted all the printed materials to the factory, and the mass production process is moving full steam ahead. We should receive pictures from the factory soon, and we'll post those once we get them.

At this point, it looks like we will be ready to ship everything in December. We will lock down addresses in November. We'll let you know before the drop-dead date so you can get any last-second changes in. As a reminder, you can access your pledge here: https://deep-madness-reborn.backerkit.com/

You can also access it via your Backerkit account: https://www.backerkit.com/c/users/sign_in

Emails

I have been laser-focused on this game's files and our other project, Dawn of Madness's final storybook. For this reason, replying to emails has suffered. However, I will be getting to my backlog of emails soon, so don't worry if you haven't gotten a reply yet. I'll get to you. If you need to contact us, you can email me at [email protected].

Rulebooks

Today, we have both the updated English core game rulebook and the Madness Reborn rulebook. We hope you like them!

Core Game Rulebook:

The Updated English Deep Madness Rulebook

Madness Reborn Rulebook:

Okay, that's it for this update. We'll be back with another one as soon as we get fresh pictures or the time approaches to lock down addresses, whichever comes first. Have a great November, and talk to you soon!

Production Pics and Update
7 months ago – Wed, Sep 20, 2023 at 12:05:02 AM

Hey, my friend! Sorry it's been a while since our last update. We were trying to wait until some fun stuff came in, but we finally realized we couldn't wait any longer to get this out. Still, we have some more production updates for you today, so let's jump in, starting with minis!

Miniatures

The miniatures' mass production process is running smoothly right now. Here are some more pictures of the process in motion:

Here are a bunch of Epic William West parts!
And a bunch of Insidious Matriarch eggs!
Speaking of Insidious Matriarch, here's her mouth!
I believe these are some Drifter Lord bits.
A nightmare swarm of mostly made Mind Eaters.
Some Nest torsos!
And lastly, some lovable Bathophobia bodies.

The Printed Materials

We have already submitted most of the printed material files and are working to finish the final few now. After the factory confirms the files, the printing process will run pretty quickly.

The whole process should finish in October.

Confirming Your Address

Before too much longer, we will need to lock down addresses. We'll send out another update to let you know the final drop-dead date to change your address. In the meantime, though, you can log into your Backerkit account here to get access to your pledge and check your address. Don't have a Backerkit account? No worries. You can also find your survey here. Still having troubles? Send me an email at [email protected]

As I said, we'll let you know when the official date to lock down addresses will be as we draw closer. We just wanted you to know it was coming in the relatively near future.

Okay, that's it for this update! My apologies that this was kind of a light one. As I said above, we were hoping to have some more cool stuff to show you, but we didn't want to wait any longer to get an update out to you. As soon as we get more fun stuff in, we'll post another update to show it off.

We'll talk with you again soon - particularly if we get something cool to show you in the near future. Have a great day, and enjoy your September!

Production Mini Samples
9 months ago – Sun, Aug 13, 2023 at 10:29:53 AM

Hey guys! It's been a crazy few weeks, but we're finally back with a new update. This will be short, but I think you'll like it anyway. Let's jump in!

Gen Con

Last week (and early this week), I was in Indianapolis for Gen Con. It was a hectic, insane time but also a ton of fun. Massive shoutout to our awesome backers, Bill (Ninjaoffduty) and Jim (Bobosavenger), for your help at the booth. Without you guys, it wouldn't have been possible. Thank you. =)

Also, thanks to all of you who stopped by and said hi! It was great to meet you or see you again in person.

Couldn't make it to Gen Con? No worries. I will do a live stream likely next month, covering new stuff we had there and just hanging out with you guys. (It will probably be September at the soonest so that I can focus on getting as much DM stuff ready for the factory as possible.) Also, all of our new things for the con were focused on our next game, Celestial, so you didn't miss any DM-specific content.

Things were so crazy that I pretty much completely forgot to take pictures or videos of Gen Con or the booth (my bad. LOL.) But I got at least a few (unfortunately glary and photo-bombed) pictures of our display case. Here they are!

Here's the whole display case.
Here's the top shelf.
The second shelf.
The third shelf.
The fourth shelf.
The Dawn of Madness shelf.
The Deep Madness shelf!

Anyway, my apologies that these are the only pictures I got from Gen Con, and they weren't better quality. Hopefully, you still enjoyed these (admittedly crummy) images.

Madness Reborn Trays

Okay, let's move from Gen Con pictures to something more interesting: the Madness Reborn mini samples! Let's start with the minis in their double-layered trays. These trays may not be completely finalized, but they'll give you a good idea of what to expect. Here we go:

The miniatures in their two stacked trays.
Another angle of the two trays.
The two trays separated.
Here is the first tray by itself.
And here's the second tray by itself.

Epic Investigators

Now let's break down our Epic Investigator minis! Here is William in all his glory!

Here's William!
Here's the back view of him.
And here's the side view.

Now, here's Regan!

Here's Regan's front view!
Here's her side view.
And here's an alternate front view.

The Epic Monsters!

Now, we get into the Epics themselves! First up, we have Dimension Breach!

Here's Dimension Breach's front side!
Dimension Breach's side profile.

Next, let's see Insidious Matriarch!

Here's Insidious Matriarch!
Here's her side view.
And her other side.
Here's the front of her egg.
The back of the egg.

Next up, we have Spawn of the Dreamer!

And here's a side profile.
Here's the front of a tentacle.
And the back.

Now, let's move on to Alpha Ravenous.

And onto Drifter Lord!

Here's the front of Drifter Lord.
And another angle.

Moving on, we have Penitent Sorrow.

And lastly, her back.

But what is Penitent Sorrow without Forsaken Rage?

Here's Forsaken Rage.
And another angle of him.

And last but certainly not least, one of my personal favorites, Devourer of Realms.

Devourer of Realms from the front, looking mighty fetching.
Getting his close-up.

Okay, that's the end of the Madness Reborn pictures, but we still have more to show you! Here are a few looks at the reprint minis being produced at the factory!

The Reprint Minis at the Factory

Now we have a few pictures of the reprint minis being produced in the factory. Enjoy!

Some Delirium bits.
Some Ravenous parts!
Agony torsos.
Hysteria snake bodies! (I think.)
Investigators!
More Investigators! (Featuring Isaac Clarke.)
I believe these are Blind bodies? Sorry, my vision isn't what it used to be.
Here are some Husks!
MOAR Investigators! (Featuring Charles Ryan.)

Okay, that's it for this update! We'll be back before long with another one, but I hope you've enjoyed this look at the Madness Reborn and reprint minis. Have a great August, and we'll talk with you again soon!

A Trip to the Factory and Other Stuff
10 months ago – Wed, Jul 05, 2023 at 12:10:56 PM

Hey guys! I hope you had a great June, and that those in the US had a Happy 4th of July! (And still have all of your limbs!)

The team took a trip to the factory at the end of last month, so we have some cool pics of miniature pieces for you today. Let's take a look!

DG Goes to the Factory

As mentioned above, some of the team went over to the factory to discuss things and look at our current progress. While there, they also took some pictures of current miniature samples! Here are some quick and dirty images of pieces fresh from the molds.

Here are some Drifter Lord bits, complete with sprues!
Some more Drifter Lord fragments.
Some Spawn of the Dreamer splooshes.
Spawn of the Dreamer wings and extremities!
Gonna be honest: I'm not sure who these tentacles belong to. Probably Drifter Lord. LOL!
Yeah, going to say Drifter Lord again.
Look at all those eggs!
Sweet, sweet tentacles!
Wow. This is a lot of tentacle pictures...

We'll have many more pictures in our next update, but hopefully, that helps whet your appetite.

Speaking of miniature production, the factory has finished all of the miniature tooling tests.  We are satisfied with the miniature's quality,  sharpness, and hardness, which means we are ready to move into mass production for them. According to the factory's schedule, the final mass production process will begin on July 15th. The whole process should finish in September.

Printing Progress

This brings us to the printed components. We are still working on finalizing these and plan to submit all of the files in August. The factory then plans to have these finished in September, as well, after which we will move into assembly, packaging, and the shipping process.

Gen Con

Just in case the next update is a bit late (this will be a busy month),  I thought I'd go ahead and mention Gen Con. DG will be back at Gen Con this year. So, if you plan on being in Indianapolis in early August, stop by and say hi! I'd love to see you/meet you in person! We will be at booth #2471, which is once again back in the exhibitor nosebleed section. LOL! (On the plus side, we're right by the rear bathrooms, so you'll probably run into us eventually.)

Can't make it to Gen Con? No worries. I'll show all the Gen Con goodies online during or after the convention so you won't miss out. (It's been a long time since our last live stream, so maybe that time is drawing near again.)

Okay, that's it for this update! A shorter one, I know, but hopefully, it gets you excited. Just as a reminder, if you need help with your pledge, email me at [email protected]. We're getting closer to putting this in your hands! Have a great July, and I'll talk to you again soon!
